Thank you for your interest in joining The Knights Radiant!
I am Dorne and I will help you with this process.
We're honored that you are interested in joining our community, and looking forward to getting to know you!  Please answer the following standard questions below, thanks!

We require that you use the leader name in game as your name on the forum and on slack. Do you agree to do that? (Y/N)

We require the usage of Slack, a free chatting application available for both desktop and mobile, for all members. Will you be okay with this? (Y/N)

For military preparedness, TKR requires all of our members to maintain a warchest of resources required for war.  Are you ok with this? (Y/N)

If TKR asks you to go to war where your nation may take heavy damages, would you do it?

Have you played any similar nation sim games before (example: cybernations, nationstates): (Y/N)   If yes, which alliances were you in, and for how long?

What made you pick TKR over other alliances?

How active will you be?

What time zone will you usually play the game in?

The biggest value an alliance like TKR offers is the community. While you wait please feel free to look around on Sparring Grounds or join our Discord and say hi. Feel free to request the TKR Applicant role from @Oathkeeper on Discord.

Thank you for your patience, and we look forward to hearing back from you soon!

Thanks, I've just done so.
@Oathkeeper I'm ready for my interview.

Froggos
Froggos is a 0 days old beige nation with 2 cities and 120.79 Nation Score. Located in Asia they are a(n) of the None alliance.

Bright DorneToday at 2:02 AM
hey there, would you like to do it here or in the forums?
Not a DuckToday at 2:06 AM
I'd prefer to do it here.
Bright DorneToday at 2:07 AM
👍 alright first question
tkr uses a freeware app similar to discord as a means of communicating between alliance members and only alliance members. helps us maintain privacy and avoid leaking info to nonalliance, is it alright for you to use it as well?
Not a DuckToday at 2:08 AM
That's alright with me.
Bright DorneToday at 2:10 AM
nice. next question. a bit of background info first. warchests (wc) are something we call a set amount of supplies like food or steel or gas that a nation will need to fight a war. it is completely yours and something you build over time depending on how many cities you have. will you be okay with us requiring you to build one (not right away ofcourse)?
Not a DuckToday at 2:11 AM
That's fine with me.
Bright DorneToday at 2:14 AM
awesome. next tkr will always enter a war eventually (were in the middle of a massive one right now), and wars can be brutal and longlasting (maybe even months). it will be inevitable for fighting nations to lose most if not all of their infrastructure and military, and run out completely of money and rss.

despite this, tkr may ask you to fight a war that you will likely take damages in, maybe even lose for sure, would you do it? would you take one for the team?
Not a DuckToday at 2:15 AM
Yes, I would.
Bright DorneToday at 2:16 AM
good to hear. just to be clear, though, we WILL do what we can to help you rebuild what was lost once peace is restored. also, the land you buy and cities you build can only be sold/destroyed by you. only military, infrastructure and resources(rss)/money are lost.
while we’re at it, would you happen to have played (or are currently playing) similar nation simulators to PnW? Like cybernations or nationstates?
Not a DuckToday at 2:20 AM
I've not played any other nation-simulators, but I do tend to manage a fair amount of stuff irl along with actively partaking in political discussions at college with friends, classmates, and sometimes my teachers.
Bright DorneToday at 2:22 AM
you’re in luck, the biggest draw with games like pnw are the communities. while the game may get boring over time, youll find that the community is the best part about it. we hope tkr becomes another virtual home for you
that said, may i ask why pick TKR over other alliances?
Not a DuckToday at 2:29 AM
The invitation that BigMorf sent me really stood out, and showed off more of the community rather than the benefits of actually being in the alliance and didn't feel like a generic "please join, we'll give you grants, and money, and protection" which makes me just feel like an asset rather than a member of the community. Along with the events and reoccurring game nights, which were major influencers on my decision to join. By that point, I was hooked, everything else was just added bonuses.
Bright DorneToday at 2:35 AM
good to know we struck the right chord. so now we go to the last questions. namely, how often do you think you’ll be playing? will you check in each day? every other day? maybe a set time per week? we ask this because regular activity helps dissuade attacks since an active member is likely to spend his/her accumulating money on improving his/her nation and is therefore not worth attacking.

also, what timezone will you be playing on?
Not a DuckToday at 2:38 AM
I'll aim for once at least once a day, but there may be times every now and then where I'll be off because of IRL issues, such as college work which I need to focus on, or busy gaming and forget about P&W. I'll do my best to stay as active as I can though.

I'll be playing on Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
Bright DorneToday at 3:16 AM
👍 thanks! ill have this posted on your forum application and recommend you for the academy, a brief primer on PNW basics and TKR protocols. please check the application regularly since the link to the academy will be posted there. while you wait, feel free to socialize here and to ask any questions you may have.

that said, we hope to greet you as a new member very soon.

Hey @BigMorf another squire-to-be seeking knighthood, be he ever so humble. :D

You've been accepted into The Knights Radiant academy.
Please read the guides and take the entrance exam in Steps 1-3. The exam isn't difficult, it's more so meant to ensure that you know where the guides and other important information is within the alliance. It should take 10-15 minutes tops. You will find the exam in the end of each step.
All information needed is provided in this subforum: http://www.knightsradiant.pw/forum/21-the-academy
You will have 72 hours to complete the exams.
