Thank you for your interest in joining The Knights Radiant!
I am Dorne and I will help you with this process.
We're honored that you are interested in joining our community, and looking forward to getting to know you!  Please answer the following standard questions below, thanks!

We require that you use the leader name in game as your name on the forum and on slack. Do you agree to do that? (Y/N)

We require the usage of Slack, a free chatting application available for both desktop and mobile, for all members. Will you be okay with this? (Y/N)

For military preparedness, TKR requires all of our members to maintain a warchest of resources required for war.  Are you ok with this? (Y/N)

If TKR asks you to go to war where your nation may take heavy damages, would you do it?

Have you played any similar nation sim games before (example: cybernations, nationstates): (Y/N)   If yes, which alliances were you in, and for how long?

What made you pick TKR over other alliances?

How active will you be?

What time zone will you usually play the game in?

The biggest value an alliance like TKR offers is the community. While you wait please feel free to look around on Sparring Grounds or join our Discord and say hi. Feel free to request the TKR Applicant role from @Oathkeeper on Discord.

Thank you for your patience, and we look forward to hearing back from you soon!
TKR! o7

ViperToday at 10:08 AM
Alright
ViperToday at 10:48 AM
@Oathkeeper I believe im ready.
Dorneful KnightToday at 10:48 AM
hey there, would you like to do the interview here or in the forums?
ViperToday at 10:50 AM
Here would be easier
Dorneful KnightToday at 10:53 AM
alright then, first question. would it be alright if we have you change your name on the forums and slack (we’ll explain this in a bit, it’s a social app identical to discord)? we can do the change later but we want to know if you’re fine with that.
ViperToday at 10:54 AM
I mean I guess I am
Dorneful KnightToday at 10:57 AM
Great. So slack is an app we use to communicate with TKR's government/leaders as well as regular members. We use it apart from discord as a way to communicate sensitive information, especially during wars when we want to coordinate the fighting. it's freeware and available for PC's and mobile devices. would you be alright with having to use that as well?
ViperToday at 10:58 AM
Yes
Dorneful KnightToday at 11:00 AM
next, in P&W most, if not all, alliances and their members have warchests. warchests are basically a stockpile of resources a player keeps in reserve that he/she can use during war. in war, you can be blockaded, basically prevented from trading or being supplied by your alliance/allies when you need, for example, gasoline for your vehicles. a warchest let's you fight on and defend yourself even if you've been cut off. and TKR requires that you have one, the size depending on the number of cities you have.
we wont require it right away of course
it's something you build over time
ViperToday at 11:01 AM
Alright, good to know
Dorneful KnightToday at 11:02 AM
now then, for some tougher questions. if the alliance asks you to declare war on and fight a stronger opponent, maybe even one you know you'll lose against, would you do it?
ViperToday at 11:04 AM
Yes, I would. But id ask to see if I could delay till im prepared enough to last a while
Dorneful KnightToday at 11:05 AM
That's reasonable. Now, out of curiosity, have you played any games similar to P&W? Like other online nation simulators like nationstates or cybernations?
ViperToday at 11:06 AM
Well yes but this is the first one I've genuinely tried to dedicate to
Dorneful KnightToday at 11:07 AM
were you part of any alliances/groups in those previous games?
ViperToday at 11:07 AM
Nope
I never managed to reach the point to want to
Dorneful KnightToday at 11:08 AM
i see. well, the reason we ask new applicants is because we have some veteran players from there so you never know when you'll see someone you've met before
next, we also wanna know why, out of every other alliance, you chose to apply to TKR?
ViperToday at 11:12 AM
Honestly, the thing that drew me to TKR was the message I received from P&W it made me want to try it as soon as I was done reading it.
Dorneful KnightToday at 11:13 AM
glad to know our spiel works then. 😀
now to wrap it all up, we just need to know how often do you plan to play/log-on. while being in an alliance prevents raiders on your nation (on threat of retaliation from the alliance), it does still happen. however the more active you are (days you log on at least once a day) the less likely it happens since the logic is that you're using your accumulated money and resources to build, which means less loot for raiders
we'd also like to know what timezone you play in (american west coast, london time, beijing time, etc)
ViperToday at 11:18 AM
Well I plan to long on at least once a day and usually try to stay on for about an hour depending on the day. My timezone i think its on the default i haven't changed it yet so idk what it is. But Itd most likely be American west coast

@Kyubeyinterview done and dusted. ready for the next step. o7

Dorneful KnightToday at 9:20 PM

Alright. That's it for the interview. From here, I'll post a transcript of the conversation on the forum application you made in case others need to view it. Our higher-ups will then review your app for full membership. After that, we'll ask you to go through the Academy, a short guide on all things P&W as well as stuff about the alliance.

[9:21 PM]

The guide is followed by a few questions to test if you've gotten the basics, and then those answers combined with the interview will be what we use to decide if you'll fit right in or if you're more suited to a different kind of alliance.

[9:21 PM]

In the meantime, feel free to ask questions here or on the #squires channel if you have em.

ViperToday at 9:22 PM

Oh alright

Dorneful KnightToday at 9:22 PM

Oh and check on the forum application topic regularly. We'll post further messages there.

You've been accepted into The Knights Radiant academy.
Please read the guides and take the entrance exam in Steps 1-3. The exam isn't difficult, it's more so meant to ensure that you know where the guides and other important information is within the alliance. It should take 10-15 minutes tops. You will find the exam in the end of each step.
All information needed is provided in this subforum: http://www.knightsradiant.pw/forum/21-the-academy
You will have 72 hours to complete the exams.
