Looking at 'what if' history is kinda pointless, if any of these Empires not existed then everything would be totally different so it would be impossible to relate to an event that actually took place as circumstances would be entirely different.

The British colonized America, this ended up with America being a power on its on. The end of the British Empire lead to the establishment of the Commonwealth that is made up of over 50 Nations, this is a huge number and shows how far the Empire reached, all of these countries have been affected by the British Empire, and even other nations have been affected. For these reasons I think the British Empire was the most influential
