Not really fair. If scientists cut up a live person to learn to fix heart problems, it doesn't mean people opposing the technique shouldn't be able to get heart surgery. Most of us still live off the benefits of WW2 human experimentation.

Yeah usually when I see people oppose it, it's not something that causes death, but a lot of pain. Like dropping shampoo in the eyes of rabbits, who have much more sensitive eyes than humans. If you grind up a thousand rats painlessly for shampoo research, I'd probably still be fine with that.

Oh I wouldn't agree with that at all

    Not happening for 2 reasons
    1) image is horizontal-ish, not good for forum profile pic

    2) the forum have a small af image size limit

Crop and resize. I can do it for you if you will make it your profile pic

Baldur's Gate 2, definitely. The first one not so. The game mechanics can be really dumb by today's standards (rolling dice 10 minutes to create a char, saving throw vs wands). And it's a single playthrough; you'll get bored on the second time.

But let's put the epic scale this way:

You can own your own fortress - thieves guild, castle, mage thing, all specific to your character class.

Characters all react to one another and with you. It's infamous for being a game where you have romantic relationships with your party members, but sometimes they try to kill each other.

Really nice major side quests, tomb raiding, genies, a companion being cursed to sex change. There is a wish spell, where you can wish for anything you like, but the character's wisdom comes into play that prevents the wish from getting corrupted. It's hard to describe but in BG2, they're a mini world of their own. It's similar to Fallout 4, where you can get lost in a quest branch, but BG2 puts more detail.

Also the dragons and liches are properly epic, unlike in Skyrim. Actually all the monsters are pretty fucking scary - drow, illithid, beholders, high level mages.

Okay that sounds fantastic. Thanks for such a detailed response, I'm going to go look for a copy now

Thanks, but you don't have to look for something for me. I was just wondering if there was some masterwork hentai I didn't know about. Like how people would recommend Counter-Strike as a FPS, Baldur's Gate for RPG, or Sengoku Rance for hentai strategy game.

Asanagi looks good. I'll see if I can find English translation too.

Random question, but has Baldur's Gate aged well? Do you think someone who is a big fan of RPGs would enjoy a first play through in 2017?

  5. Not taking school more seriously until it was too late, cost me chance of getting into top law schools.

The worst "single" decision would probably be not doing study abroad when I was in college

The worst decision I will be making in the future is asking one of my close friends out who I am pretty sure just sees me as a friend

fwiw I looked it up yesterday and found 23 terrorist attacks involving individuals from the 7 countries he banned (2 Somalian/1 Iranian iirc).

Yeah, there definitely have been some, luckily with 0 deaths. Do you know what the time frame is for that 23? According to WSJ 11/180 of the terrorist attacks that have happened since 9/11 have come from the 7 countries.

  7. I'm pretty repulsed by what he has done so far, but none of it has been surpising either. Shame the Democrats had such a weak candidate in Hillary

    1) His appointees, I find to be horrific. Putting a climate change denier in charge of the EPA would be laughable if it wasn't so terrifying. Climate change is the biggest threat this country, and the world faces. Putting oil executives in charge of key posts, so much for "draining the swamp".

    2) The Wall: Sure lets waste $15 billion on constructing a wall when immigration from Mexico already is and has been on the decline

    3) Killing TPP: This is something I actually support

    4) Weakening Obamacare: A shame and a move in the wrong direction. This doesn't have any immediate effect but if it continues it will be ironic how it will heavily affect some of Trumps' biggest supporters, poor whites.

    5) The travel ban: A continuation of the fear mongering that got him into office. There has never been a fatal terrorist attack by an immigrant of those 7 countries he banned. He conveniently left out countries he has business ties to. The terrorist attacks that do happen in this country result from people who already lived here and were radicalized via online propaganda. Not to mention the overall threat of terrorism is hugely overblown with regards to the actual damage done.

There is always room for more anger
